Future Africa Accommodation
Future Africa is a secluded, independent complex that is wholly owned by the University of Pretoria
We recommend that conference attendees reside within the Future Africa complex. Accommodation is cost-effective and within walking distance from all conference venues with beautiful views of the campus and surrounds.
We recommend attendees reserve accommodation as soon as possible as accommodation is not reserved for the exclusive use of conference guests. Accommodation at Future Africa is popular due to its location and competitive pricing.
Please advise the reservations desk that you will be attending the conference when making your reservation.
Future Africa Offers 37 One-bedroom Guest Rooms and 71 Twin Guest Rooms
Guest Rooms Include:
- Rooms are modern, spacious with an ensuite bathroom (Shower Inside, with amenities and towels)
- All rooms have uncapped WIFI, with a speed of 26.2 Mbps download/138.1 Mbps upload, an Eduroam option is also available
- All rooms are equipped with a coffee station and bar-sized fridge
- There are working stations with overhead lamps in each room
- Rooms are serviced daily
- Return items such as hair dryers, iron facilities, and international adaptors are available at the Future Africa Reception Desk
- A laundry service is available

IMPORTANT: The rates listed above exclude all meals – should you wish to reserve breakfast or any other meals – please indicate this on the reservation form:
Breakfast = R188.00 pp
Lunch = R255.00 pp
Dinner = R260.00 pp

2. Send the completed form to accommodation@futureafrica.science – in your email indicate that you are attending the IRSPBL2025 conference.
(A limited number of rooms are available – we recommend you book your room as soon as possible).
Alternative Accommodation
Attendees are not obliged to reside at The Future Africa Campus. Should you however opt not to reside in the Campus, you will require your own transport or make use of a taxi service such as Uber.
The Campus is not within walking distance from any other hotels in the vicinity, nor is there public transport that passes by or through The Future Africa Campus.
Pretoria | Gauteng
The Future Africa Institute is situated in Hatfield, on the University of Pretoria’s Hillcrest Campus.
The institute is situated in the same precinct with the TuksSport High Performance Centre and Time Out Café. Daily meals and snacks are prepared here daily. The this service is available for both daily conference guests and sleep-over guests.
Hillcrest Campus is 2.1 km from Gautrain Hatfield station, approximately 6 minutes’ drive from the campus.
The campus is close to shopping malls such as Hatfield Plaza, Loftus Park shopping centre, Brooklyn Square, Menlyn Mall, and extensive bistros, coffee shops, and other eateries.
There are approximately 135 embassies in Pretoria.
A myriad of tourist attractions including the Pretoria Botanical Gardens, Pretoria National Zoological, Loftus Versveld Stadium, Voortrekker Monument Park.
50 Minutes travel time to OR Tambo international airport and 40 minutes to Lanseria airport.
